KKHost.Net: Scheduled Maintenance

Dear Valued Customers,

We would like to inform you that the following maintenance will be performed on our US Linux Server. As usual, we will try our best to make any downtime insignificant.

Colo4Dallas Planned Network Maintenance

To continue to provide you with the best level of service possible, Colo4Dallas will perform planned maintenance on the following date and time. Expected service impact is noted below but actual impact may vary.

Date/Time: Sunday Dec 10, 2006 17:00 – 20:00 (GMT+8)

Reason for Maintenance:
Colo4Dallas will be upgrading one of their edge routers to a new platform. All traffic will be routed over Level3 for the duration of the maintenance.

Backout Plan:
Original router will be routed back should any problems arise.

KKHost.Net Scheduled Server Software Upgrade

The main purpose for this upgrade is to bring all systems up to date and to get better overall performance by installing latest software which includes a number of performance related optimizations.

Date/Time: 28th December 2006 – 29th December 2006

Expected Downtime Duration: Less than 3 minutes for server reboot

Please note that dates above are approximate and might be adjusted based on how fast / slow the work will be performed.

In the meantime, I will not be in Malaysia on the 12th December 2006. I will be back again on the 21st December 2006. To ensure that we are able to handle our customers’ queries efficiently, I will arrange my admin, Tris Pulford to help Whei Meng to keep an eye on the trouble ticket system. Since Tris is from the United Kingdom, I hope the time zone difference will not cause too much of inconveniences to you.
